Basic sea kayaking course in Favignana
Discover sea kayaking as an authentic, educational and fun experience. Our basic course is designed for both adults and even younger children, with activities designed to safely introduce them to the world of sea kayaking.
We use sit-in sea kayaks designed especially for beginners: stable, easy to lead and ideal for learning right away with confidence. For families, double kayaks are available to share the experience between parent and child, strengthening attunement, trust and cooperation.
During the course we will cover in a simple and practical way the basics of sea kayak conduct, basic maneuvers, safety at sea, orientation, planning a kayak trip, and even some games designed to make learning more engaging.
Groups are intentionally very small (maximum of 6 participants) to ensure personalized attention and a peaceful, one-on-one experience. It all takes place in the unique setting of Favignana's crystal clear waters.
Training objectives of the course
- Conducting the kayak Acquire the fundamental techniques for safely maneuvering a sea kayak, with attention to stability, basic paddling and essential maneuvers.
- Safety at Sea Learn the basics of ensuring one's own safety and the safety of others while kayaking, including what to do in case of minor unforeseen events.
- Orientation and navigation Introduce the use of simple orientation tools (such as a compass) and provide the basics of planning a short kayak excursion, taking into account weather and sea conditions.
- Sharing the experience at sea Experience kayaking as an activity to be shared, which strengthens the relationship between people and creates moments of harmony, trust, and pleasure in exploring together.
- Fun and discovery To stimulate interest in kayaking and the marine environment through a hands-on, playful approach, with games, dynamic activities, and moments of exploration.

Duration:
- 5 meetings of 2 hours each
- The course will conclude with a special meeting with final activities, time open to families, and presentation of certificates of participation
- Minimum age: 10 years old
- Participation fee: €220 per person, registration included (membership)

Individual sessions
In addition to the full course, the following can be booked personalized sea kayaking lessons, of the duration of 2 hours, designed for those who wish to learn individually or have special time requirements.
Sessions are suitable for both beginners and those who want a quick and focused introduction.
